Construction, Community Association, Insurance & Commercial Litigation Attorney.
Gustafson Law is a construction, community association, insurance and commercial litigation law firm. Gustafson Law’s mission is to provide quality, cost-effective legal services to individuals and businesses in the construction, community association, business, automotive, insurance and commercial fields or industries.
Before opening Gustafson Law, Alan Gustafson was a partner at a large, national law firm. Through that experience, he knows how the “other side” thinks, works, and litigates cases. Gustafson Law is dedicated to putting our experience, knowledge, and skills to work for our clients, and to providing our clients with the aggressive representation they deserve. At Gustafson Law only an experienced attorney will handle your case from start to finish - no junior attorney, no paralegal and no case manager.
Gustafson Law practices upfront legal pricing and offers a free 30-minute initial consultation for new clients. Depending on the nature of the matter, hourly fees, contingency fees, and fixed or flat fee arrangements may be available.
Gustafson Law represents clients throughout the Tampa Bay area in the cities of Tampa, St. Petersburg, Bradenton, Brandon, Lakeland, Sarasota, New Port Richey, Dunedin, Safety Harbor, Clearwater and all of Hillsborough, Pinellas, Manatee, Sarasota, Pasco and Polk counties. If you have a pressing litigation matter, we will also travel throughout nearly all of Florida to represent you or your business.

According to Florida’s Construction Lien Law (Section 713.001-713.37, Florida Statutes), those who work on your property or provide materials and services and are not paid in full have a right to enforce their claim for payment against your property. This claim is known as a construction lien. If your contractor or subcontractor fails to pay subcontractors, sub-subcontractors, or suppliers, those people who are owed money may look to your property for payment, even if you have already paid your contractor . If you fail to pay your contractor, your contractor may also have a lien on your property. If a lien is filed your property could be sold against your will to pay for labor, materials, or other services that your contractor may have failed to pay. This firm provides representation to associations, owners and lienors to foreclose on construction liens, or to defend against foreclosure actions.
